Voce Camerata is an ensemble of singers who perform programs of early music, from late Medieval through the Renaissance to early Baroque and occasionally beyond. Most is sung a cappella, while some is accompanied by instruments representative of the period (Voce's Consort). Programs are prepared for Spring and Fall and are usually performed 2 or more times in a variety of venues.
Membership requires a good sound, blending well with the group, reasonably good sight reading skills, desire for a high level of performance, and an enthusiasm for this style of music. Or at least a willingness to learn those things! Playing in the consort is not a requirement, though many of the current singers do.
