Founded in 1979, Seattle Men's Chorus is one of the world's largest LGBTQ and ally-identified choruses, performing a variety of pop, rock, Broadway, and traditional choral music.
Our History
Founded in 1979, Seattle Men's Chorus has grown to become an internationally-respected music organization and one of the world's largest LGBTQ Men's Choruses with over 360 members.
SMC has toured the globe with appearances in Germany, Australia, England, Spain, New Zealand, The Netherlands, and Canada. The Chorus has also performed at famed venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Westminster Hall in London.
Music works have been commissioned from such composers as John Corigliano (Grammy Award, 1997), Gian Carlo Menotti, Robert Moran, and Conrad Susa.
We have had the great fortune of performing with stars of stage and screen including Debbie Reynolds, Harvey Fierstein, Megan Mullally, Rosemary Clooney, Kristin Chenoweth, Megan Hilty, and Leslie Jordan.
